Research Collaboration

A very important aspect of our research effort is a strong collaborative research programme. The faculties have succeeded in developing collaborative research with academics in India and abroad resulting in the publication of joint research papers, operating collaborative research projects, joint organization of various academic programmes, faculty visits and so on. This is through e-mail facility followed by faculty visits.

International/National Collaboration

Our international collaborators during last five years include scientists and academics from institutes like Clemson University (South Carolina, USA) CNRS (Mullhouse, France), Tokyo Institute of Technology (Japan), University of Erlanger-Nurmberg (Germany), University of Stuttgart, (Germany), University of Borden (France), Penn State University, (USA), Chungnam National University, (South Korea), University of London (UK), Open University of Milton Keyns (UK), University of Leeds (UK), University of Leipzig (Germany), University of Athens (Greece), Fukuoka University (Japan) and Fukuoka Institute of Technology (Japan), National Institute of Chemistry, Slovenia, Europe.

Our national collaborators during last five years are academics from Institutes like DRDL, (Hyderabad), DMRL (Hyderabad), BARC (Bombay), IPR (Gandhinagar), IGCAR (Kalpakkam), PRL (Ahmedabad), Mangalore University, South Gujarat University, The MS University of Baroda, Gujarat University, NDDB, IUCAA (Pune), GAU (Anand), SICI (New Delhi), the British Council (Mumbai), the USEFI (Mumbai) etc.

Interdepartmental Collaboration

There is also interdepartmental collaborative research among Departments in Humanities and Social Sciences as well as among some Departments in Sciences. These include research amongst (a) Departments of Chemistry and Biosciences, (b) Departments of Materials Science and Chemistry, (c) Departments of Biosciences and Mathematics, (d) Departments of Mathematics and Chemistry, (e) Departments of Languages, (f) Departments of Computer Science and Technology and Biosciences, (g) Department of Economics and Agro-Economic Research Centre, (h) Departments of Home Science and Biosciences, (i) Departments of Materials Science and Biosciences, (j) Departments of Physics and Materials Science and (k) Departments of Electronics and Physics. The Department of Materials Science has also developed collaborations with GCET College, BVM Engineering College, SVNIT, Surat and LD Engineering College. of course, all Departments converge in the activities of the Community Science Centre.
