Future Plans

The Department would put focused efforts in the direction of achieving following future plans:

To continuously upgrade the curriculum in the manner that strikes an appropriate balance between seeking conducive solutions of local economic problems and aspire to be at par with opportunities evolving at national and international level
To initiate extension activities with a view to promote regional rural development in collaboration with Sardar Patel University Incubation Centre for Humanities and Social Sciences
To upgrade the Department to the status of UGC Centre of Advanced Study in Economics – Phase III (CAS – III) Programme
To introduce PGD in Economics
To introduce Multidisciplinary Elective Course in Sem 3 & Sem 4
To Introduce a Certificate Course for Competitive Exams- Economics
A Certificate Curse on Indic Studies
Attracting Foreign Students for Ph.D.
Putting more Efforts in Assuring that More Students Clear Competitive Exams
Scale up Charity Program
Undertake more Multi-Disciplinary Research, Projects and Ph.D.
