♦ NATIONAL NUTRITION WEEK/ POSHAN MAH CELEBRATION

The department celebrates National Nutrition Week from 1st to 7th September every year. Students take active part in it. The details are as follows:

Poshan Mah 2024:

 

  • A recipe competition on “Iron rich recipe” was organized on 10/09/2024.
  • An elocution competition on “Healthy Food v/s. Junk Food: Choice for Better Life”  was organized on 13/09/2024.

  • A poster competition was organized on “Dietary habits for optimum health” on 05/09/2023.
  • A talk on “Vitamin D in health and disease” was delivered by Dr. Anindita Batabyal, Young Scientist DHR-HRD, Home Science Department on 06/09/2023.
  • A virtual lecture on “Healthy Eating- A Dietician’s perspective” on 23/09/2023

  • A quiz competition on “Importance of Breast feeding” was organized on 05/08/2023
  • A chart competiton on “ Successful Breasfeeding: Support from Family” was organized on 02/08/2024.
  • Extension activity (Distribution and explanation of flyer on Stanpan thi Jivandan ) on 06/08/2024.

⇒ 2023 -The following events were organized

  • A quiz competition on “Importance of Breast feeding” was organized on 07/08/2023
  • A Radio talk on “Importance of Breast feeding: support from family and workplace” was given by Viraj Roghelia, Assistant Professor and Dr. Komal Patel, Assistant professor, which was broadcasted on 07/08/2023.
  • A recipe competition was organised on 02/08/2023 on “Lactogoues recipes”.
  • A talk on “Working women can also successfully breastfeed their child” was delivered by Dr. Nikhil Kharod, Paediatrician, former CEO, Tribhuvandas Foundation, Anand on  03/08/2023.
