Role of Health Centre in the Covid Pandemic:
During covid pandemic various activities were carried out by health centre for prevention and management of Covid.Covid preventive guidelines for students, admin staff as well as for colleges were issued time to time and ensured that guidelines were followed properly.To minimize the risk of covid transmission every staff and students were screened with pulse oximeter and infrared thermometer. Pulse oximeter, infrared thermometer and gloves were distributed from health centre to various departments and hostels. For that university staffs were given training to conduct the screening.
Sanitization of university offices and departments, university hostels were carried out with the help of cleaning staff throughout the pandemic.For sanitization of various university departments cleaning staff was given training.
With the help of chemistry department WHO guided alcohol based sanitiser was made and was distributed to various departments throughout the pandemic.
For Offline exam conduction guidelines were issued and continuous monitoring was done to minimize the risk of covid infection.To minimize the risk of covid transmission every staff and students were screened with pulse oximeter and infrared thermometer. For that university staffs were given training to conduct the screening. Pulse oximeter, infrared thermometer and gloves were distributed from health centre
Ayurvedic medicines and ayurvedic ukala for covid prophylaxis were distributed to students, university staff and covid patients from time to time by health centre with the help of AyushDoctor from government health centre.
Homeopathic medicines were made available with the help of Anand homeopathy college and same were distributed periodically to university staff and covid patients.
Periodic Rapid antigen testing of university staff was carried out to detect asymptomatic carrier on 29th September 2021 and 30th sept 2021.Ladies hostel students were checked for rapid testing on 27/12/2021
PCR lab for covid detection was started by university in may 2021.Health centre staff and medical officer were trained for RT-PCR testing and were involved in sample collection setup.
Vaccination of university staff was arranged in the university campus from 1stApril 2021 to 7thApril 2021.
